Embedded Software Consultant

CMC is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a client in Sønderborg, Denmark. This is a fixed-term consultant assignment.

You will operate either as an independent freelance consultant or as an employed consultant through CMC.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for a consultant assignment in Sønderborg, Denmark. The role focuses on the development of embedded software for industrial control and drive applications, with a particular focus on motor drives and frequency converter technologies.

This position offers the opportunity to support the development and enhancement of innovative control solutions within a technically advanced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C
• Support the development of software for motor drive and frequency converter applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust and reliable solutions.
• Contribute to software design, implementation and testing activities.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded software issues.
• Support verification, validation and system integration activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing embedded software in C (C++ experience is also beneficial)
• Experience working with motor drives and/or frequency converters.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems development.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting embedded software.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
