Embedded Software Engineer (Automotive)

We are looking for a passionate Embedded Software Engineer with experience in automotive embedded systems to develop and maintain software for EV Instrument Clusters and Telematics solutions. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Embedded C, microcontrollers, communication protocols, debugging, and automotive software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive Instrument Cluster applications.
• Develop application software and low-level drivers using Embedded C.
• Work with microcontrollers such as: Renesas, STM, Infineon, Microchip.
• Develop and integrate communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, SIF.
• Implement UDS-based CAN Bootloader and support Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) updates.
• Develop software for TFT Instrument Cluster applications and Integrate TFT display drivers and graphics libraries.
• Integrate and validate Quectel EC200U telematics module features such as GPS, GSM, RTC, FOTA, HTTP communication and remote diagnostics and telematics features.
• Develop and maintain Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications.
• Develop BLE services, characteristics, and GATT profiles based on project requirements, Integrate BLE stack with embedded applications and RTOS.
• Implement BLE OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware update, Validate BLE functionality across Android and iOS platforms.
• Perform software integration, debugging, unit testing, and vehicle-level validation.
• Support production flashing, manufacturing validation, and field issue analysis.
• Prepare software release notes, technical documentation, & support customer SW releases.

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Embedded C
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, EEPROM
• Experience with UDS (ISO 14229) and CAN Bootloader
• Hands-on experience in TFT Display / Instrument Cluster Development
• Experience with Quectel EC200U or similar LTE/GSM modules
• Strong knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) architecture and protocols
• Experience with BLE GATT Services, Characteristics, Profiles, Advertising, and Scanning.
• Knowledge of BLE security mechanisms, including pairing, bonding, and encryption.
• Knowledge of FOTA, UART-based modem communication, and cloud connectivity
• Experience using CAN analyzers, logic analyzers, debuggers.
• Good understanding of embedded software architecture, debugging, and optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
