This is where you'll excel

• Develop and maintain application software on Bühler's Linux-based embedded platform for machine control, covering control logic, parameter handling, alarms, status management, and machine interfaces.
• Develop and maintain firmware for sensors used on Bühler machines, enabling sensing, data collection, local processing, diagnostics, and data upload.
• Participate in software testing, verification, and validation.
• Support machine integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Willingness to travel internationally (market introductions, troubleshooting).
• Create and maintain technical documentation, such as software design documents, interface descriptions, test records, and release notes.
• Follow software development processes, coding standards, version control and quality requirements.

These are the skills you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or above in Automation, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 or more years of embedded software development experience.
• Solid programming skills in C/C++ and good understanding of embedded software development. Familiar with embedded software development tools and workflows, e.g. Eclipse, git etc. We develop on Microsoft Windows for Linux and bare-metal.
• Interest in complete machines, and motivated to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
• Good English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills for international collaboration and technical documentation.
• Experience in embedded software development, real-time machine control software, signal processing and closed-loop control, communication networks (IP, CAN, Fieldbus, BLE), low-power embedded systems, relational databases (SQL) is a plus.
• Experience with ARM processors, STMicroelectronics STM32, Texas Instruments MCUs, or similar microcontroller platforms is a plus.
