Embedded Software Engineer

Position: Embedded Software Engineer

Compensation: $185,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Erie, PA, Houston, TX or Lenexa, KS

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact engineering team focused on advanced measurement technology. In this role, you’ll help develop the embedded software that powers sophisticated ultrasonic flow meters, supporting ongoing product innovation, diagnostics, and next-generation platform development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop embedded software for ultrasonic flow meter products
• Work closely with hardware and software teams
• Build and optimize DSP-based signal processing algorithms
• Improve product accuracy, reliability, and performance
• Support diagnostics and anomaly detection functionality
• Contribute to next-generation platform development
• Collaborate on product design and technical decisions
• Help enhance sensor-driven measurement capabilities
• Support AI-enabled product improvements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related engineering field
• 7+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience
• Strong experience with C or C++
• Embedded Linux or Linux development experience
• Hands-on experience with DSP
• Experience working with hardware and software integration
• Background with sensors or sensor data
• Experience in embedded or real-time systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• FPGA integration experience
• Python experience
• YOCTO experience
• Ultrasonic technology background
• Flow meter or measurement systems experience
• Industrial automation or instrumentation experience
• Experience in sensor-heavy industries
