What they need
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in C++ development, Linux-based systems, and hardware/software integration.
In this role, you’ll develop software for advanced test platforms, working across the embedded software stack, from low-level hardware interfaces to system integration and application-level services. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for technically demanding environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software in C and C++ for Linux-based and embedded systems.
- Build software that interfaces directly with hardware and operating system components while providing APIs and services to higher-level applications.
- Debug and optimize complex hardware/software integration issues across system-level and board-level components.
- Develop and troubleshoot multithreaded applications in embedded environments.
- Work with hardware and software engineers, as well as product managers, to design and deliver reliable system solutions.
- Contribute to software quality, maintainability, and engineering efficiency through modern development practices.
- Participate in Agile activities, including story planning, bug tracking, release planning, and sprint retrospectives.
- Communicate technical issues, project progress, and potential risks clearly to engineering teams, management, and customers.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong exposure to embedded or system-level development.
- Proficiency in C++, particularly for embedded applications and Linux-based systems.
- Experience debugging complex hardware/software integration issues and multithreaded applications.
- Familiarity with embedded communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, or PCIe.
- Experience working with Linux platforms and software that interacts closely with hardware.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Python scripting experience for automation, testing, and engineering tools.
- Background in test engineering, instrumentation, hardware validation, or test automation.
- Experience developing software for semiconductor test equipment or other advanced electronic test platforms.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work across embedded software, Linux, and hardware integration.
- Contribute to advanced engineering platforms where software reliability and performance matter.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on challenging system-level development problems.
- Apply your C++ expertise in an environment that combines software engineering with physical hardware.
Interested?
If you have a strong background in embedded C++ development, Linux, and hardware/software integration, we’d like to hear from you.
