Embedded Software Engineer

Role Overview

You will join a core wireless gaming development team at Merry to research, and develop innovative wireless gaming audio devices and platforms. The role involves building firmware from scratch, collaborating with major global gaming device companies, and supporting existing wireless products through debugging and updates.

Core Responsibilities:

• Firmware Development: Design, implement, test, and maintain moderately complex embedded systems using C language following strict company coding standards
• Industry Collaboration: Partner directly with key external gaming companies to guide revolutionary audio solutions from concept to production
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Design and execute unit tests, perform strict design/code reviews, and handle technical root cause analysis for hardware/software issues.
• Hardware-Software Synergy: Read electrical schematics and collaborate closely with hardware engineers to optimize system interactions
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical design specifications and test documentation

Key Job Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in real-time gaming product development is highly preferred

Technical Skills & Tools

• Core Languages: High proficiency in C/C++ with strong-oriented design skills
• Secondary Languages: Familiarity with C#, Python, or Assembly is strong advantage
• Architecture: Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers is strictly required
• Embedded Concepts: Deep knowledge of multi-threaded and real-time programming (e.g., interrupts, message queues, RTOS task Scheduling)
• Hardware & Lab Equipment: Practical experience using lab tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters to debug hardware

Soft Skills & Methodologies

• Strong quantitative, analytical. and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team and external client collaboration
• Familiarity with software development quality management systems and release processes
