Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software Test & Automation

Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software Test & Automation to join the Enhanced Central Gateway (ECG) team This team develops the critical software infrastructure that enables Ethernet connectivity, networking, security, power management, and advanced application features in next-generation vehicles.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, execute, and automate software tests for embedded vehicle platforms
• Create test plans and test designs from software requirements and architecture documents
• Perform test execution, root-cause analysis, defect triage, and validation of fixes
• Develop automation scripts and test applications using Python and C/C++
• Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks, libraries, and tools
• Analyze and report test coverage metrics
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and test teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in continuous quality and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of software development and/or automation testing experience, preferably on embedded platforms
• Strong Python development skills
• Working knowledge of C++ or C
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies
• Familiarity with distributed and multi-threaded systems
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with automated test environments
• Familiarity with C++ unit testing frameworks
• Knowledge of CAN and Automotive Ethernet
• Android experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
