About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with LabVIEW expertise to support aerospace and avionics engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++, National Instruments hardware, LabVIEW, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and DO-178 compliance .

Candidates with an avionics or aerospace background are strongly preferred. This position requires working 100% onsite in Irvine, California.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) , including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Develop and maintain embedded applications using C/C++ .
• Develop, configure, and integrate LabVIEW applications and National Instruments hardware .
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up, OS bring-up, and device driver development.
• Develop and integrate hardware interface solutions for embedded platforms.
• Debug, test, and optimize embedded software for performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with customer safety, security, and DO-178 standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and verification engineering teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++ development .
• Expertise in National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW .
• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing .
• Experience with DO-178 / DO-178C compliance in avionics or aerospace projects.
• Experience with board bring-up, OS bring-up, and device driver development.
• Proficiency with hardware interfaces, including:
• UART and USB
• Ethernet
• I2C and SPI
• RS232 and RS422
• Knowledge of communication protocols, including CAN, TCP/IP, and UDP .
• Strong debugging, integration, and testing skills.

Interview Process

1. Level 1: 30-minute video call with Cyient.
2. Level 2: 30-minute video call with the customer.
3. Level 3: Final 1.5–2-hour in-person interview with the customer.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a US citizen .
• Must be available to work 100% onsite in Irvine, California .
• Must have relevant embedded software and LabVIEW experience.
• Aerospace/avionics experience with DO-178 is a must.
