Embedded System Engineer

Ours is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech company developing software-defined, magnet-free electric motor systems. Its Virtual Magnet Synchronous Motor (VMSM) integrates motor architecture, power electronics and proprietary control algorithms, with applications spanning electric mobility, industrial systems, robotics, defence and cooling. The company states that it is scaling from active customer pilots toward production programmes.

ROLE PURPOSE

Contribute to the design, development, integration, testing and debugging of embedded electronics and control systems supporting motor, controller and application-specific platforms. Work closely with electrical, power-

electronics, controls, mechanical and validation teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop and maintain embedded firmware for motor-control, excitation, sensing and related electronic systems.

 Work with microcontrollers, ADCs, timers, PWM, interrupts, communication interfaces and real-time control requirements.

 Develop, test and debug embedded C/C++ software and low-level drivers.

 Interface controllers with sensors, power electronics, motor-control hardware and vehicle/application systems.

 Implement and analyse CAN/CAN FD, UART, SPI, I2C and other relevant interfaces.

 Support board bring-up, hardware-software integration and root-cause analysis.

 Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, debuggers and CAN tools for troubleshooting.

 Participate in unit, integration and validation testing and controlled firmware releases.

 Translate system requirements into embedded functions and interfaces with electrical and controls engineers.

 Maintain software versions, test results, issue logs and technical documentation.

 Support prototypes, application integration and production-readiness activities.

 Follow disciplined coding, review and version-control practices; MISRA-C, ISO 26262 or ASPICE exposure is

an advantage.

REQUIRED SKILLS

 Strong embedded-systems, digital-electronics and microcontroller fundamentals.

 Good Embedded C; C++ is desirable.

 ARM Cortex-M or comparable MCU experience.

 Understanding of motor-control, power electronics or EV systems.

 CAN/CAN FD knowledge and basic automotive communication concepts.

 Ability to read schematics/datasheets and troubleshoot hardware-software interfaces.

 Hands-on laboratory and debugging skills.

PREFERRED EXPOSURE

 EV traction systems, motor controllers, e-axles, BMS, VCU or industrial motor drives.

 RTOS, bootloaders, diagnostics, HIL/SIL or automated firmware testing.

 AUTOSAR, MISRA-C, ISO 26262 or ASPICE.

 Taking an embedded product from prototype through validation and production.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
