Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 + Equity

We're recruiting for an innovative AI technology company developing advanced vehicle inspection systems using cameras, sensors, and real-time data processing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, fast-growing engineering team, working on embedded software, firmware, and hardware integration. You'll play a key role in developing cutting-edge technology, taking solutions from prototype through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software and firmware for camera and sensor systems.
• Build and optimise camera triggering, synchronisation, monitoring, and error recovery.
• Develop sensor control software, including calibration, measurement, and fault handling.
• Create signal processing pipelines for depth measurement and sensor data.
• Integrate hardware and software, troubleshooting issues from prototype through production.
• Support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of production systems.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in embedded systems engineering.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python .
• Experience with Embedded Linux , including system services, logging, and performance optimisation.
• Hands-on hardware and sensor integration using UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, RS-485, or Modbus.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, and hardware debugging.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
