- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
- Establish and promote strong practices around coding, testing, documentation, and design.
- Perform root-cause analysis using appropriate hardware and software debugging techniques.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and provide technical guidance on development and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate technologies and engineering approaches that could improve reliability, performance, maintainability, or security.
- Identify technical risks and provide input into project planning and engineering priorities.
- Create technical documentation, specifications, design materials, and engineering recommendations.
- Communicate project progress, technical challenges, risks, and resource considerations to stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers, including requirements gathering, solution reviews, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Adapt quickly when urgent technical or business priorities arise.
- Travel occasionally for customer or project-related needs.
