Embedded Test automation Engineer

Role: Embedded test automation Engineer

Location: Redmond WA

3+ years of software and test automation experience with at least 1 year related to silicon/firmware validation.

Experience in software design and proficient programming in C/C++ and Python (data structures, algorithms, and OOP).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop automation frameworks that allow the silicon organization to move fast with high confidence in the quality of prototyping, system provisioning, silicon/software validation, and system integration.

2. Invent new tools that streamline reliable software deployment, test execution, and data analysis as part of our continuous integration and release system.

3. Develop and distribute library APIs to orchestrate silicon development platforms to automate stimuli input and capture output on datastreams from various interfaces on

silicon evaluation boards and FPGA/Emulation platforms.

4. Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting of distributed software infrastructure.

5. Develop data loggers for existing dashboards and automate health monitoring systems.

6. Integrate libraries from 3rd party hardware vendors with in-house built solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.

2. 3+ years of software and test automation experience with at least 1 year related to silicon/firmware validation.

3. Experience in software design and proficient programming in C/C++ and Python (data structures, algorithms, and OOP).

4. Proficient with software testing methodologies.

5. Experience providing clear communications and working well with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience with integration and testing for a complex system.

2. Experience building or working with real-time embedded systems.

3. Knowledge of ASIC design flow and ASIC prototyping flow.

4. Experience with FPGA and hardware evaluation boards, EDA design tools, and/or ISA simulators.
