Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

We are seeking full-time EMT-Basic professionals who take pride in their work, communicate effectively, and understand the importance of being punctual, prepared, and patient-centered on every call.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients between healthcare facilities, private residences, and medical appointments
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care within EMT-B scope of practice, prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and dignity
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, caregivers, dispatch, medical staff, and team members
• Respond promptly to radio and dispatch communications and follow operational updates as assigned
• Complete accurate, timely patient care documentation and run reports
• Maintain ambulance cleanliness, readiness, and safety at all times, including refueling, restocking, and post-call cleanup
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report issues immediately
• Demonstrate accountability for patient care responsibilities during all assigned shifts

Qualifications:

• Valid State of Texas EMT-B certification (Required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs from ground to waist level (with assistance as needed)
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Prior EMS or patient transport experience preferred, but not required
