Emergency Medical Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls
• Provide high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and care within the NYS EMT scope of practice
• Safely operate ambulances and emergency vehicles
• Transport patients safely and professionally
• Complete accurate and timely patient care documentation
• Maintain ambulance readiness, including equipment and supply checks
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, healthcare providers, and other emergency services
• Assist with station duties and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and respect while representing Rock Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps

Minimum Requirements

• Current NYS EMT certification
• Minimum 1 year of EMT experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team
