Emerging Markets Research Analyst

We are seeking an Investment Analyst with a minimum of 3 years’ experience covering Asia Emerging Market. The ideal candidate should have a strong orientation toward fundamental research and with strong analytical skills. The analyst will work closely with portfolio managers to generate high-conviction investment ideas across Emerging Markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive fundamental research on listed Emerging Market companies across sectors and regions.
• Build financial models and conduct valuation and scenario analysis.
• Write investment memos covering the investment thesis, catalysts, risks and valuation.
• Present buy, sell and hold recommendations to portfolio managers with clear conviction levels.
• Support portfolio construction, position sizing, risk management and diversification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience in covering Asia Emerging markets, preferably on the buy side.
• Strong company analysis, financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Ability to form independent investment views and assess downside risks.
• CFA designation or CFA candidate is preferred; MBA is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Independent, curious and evidence-driven thinker.
• High integrity and willingness to challenge consensus views.
