Employee Relations Manager (HR)

Role & responsibilities:

• Grievance Handling & Investigations: Lead end-to-end, objective workplace investigations into employee grievances, code of conduct issues, POSH complaints, and workplace conflicts.
• Policy & Legal Compliance: Implement, interpret, and enforce internal HR policies while ensuring compliance with central and state labor standards and legal guidelines.
• Performance & Discipline Management: Guide line managers through disciplinary actions, performance warnings, PIPs (Performance Improvement Plans), and involuntary offboarding.
• Mediation & Employee Advocacy: Act as a neutral party to mediate disputes, de-escalate workplace tensions, and promote open communication.
• Retention & Attrition Analysis: Analyze pulse survey data, exit interview insights, and ER metrics to proactively identify retention risks and recommend solutions.
• Managerial Coaching: Train team leads and managers on handling tough employee conversations, conflict resolution, and fair management practices.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Human Resources (MBA / PGDM in HR preferred).
• Experience: 4 to 8 years of dedicated experience in Employee Relations, HR Advisory, or HR Generalist roles handling employee grievances and compliance.
• Core Skills: In-depth knowledge of Labor Laws, POSH framework, workplace investigation procedures, PIP processes, and mediation techniques.
• Key Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence (EQ), strong conflict de-escalation skills, and absolute discretion with confidential matters.
