Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of employment and commercial litigation matters in collaboration with experienced partners.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other substantive legal documents.
• Participate in all phases of discovery, including document review, depositions, and discovery disputes.
• Assist with court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel to advance litigation matters.
• Collaborate with the partnership team on complex cases while developing greater independence and responsibility.
• Stay current on developments in California employment law and litigation procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Prior employment litigation experience is NOT required.
