Employment Litigation Attorney

Experience: 5+ years

Compensation: $195,000–$215,000+, depending on experience and qualifications

An AmLaw firm with a rapidly growing New Jersey office in Berkeley Heights is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with 5+ years of management-side complex litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience independently managing sophisticated litigation matters and an interest in developing a book of business and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting and responding to pleadings.
• Managing written discovery, electronic discovery, and e-discovery strategy.
• Drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Leading or substantially participating in mediations and trials.
• Managing multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with litigation teams.
• Supporting business development initiatives and long-term practice growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management-side complex employment litigation experience.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, research, and advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated matters independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle competing priorities.
• Excellent judgment, initiative, adaptability, and leadership abilities.
• Collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to exceptional client service.
• Interest in business development and building a long-term practice.
• Admission to both the New Jersey and New York Bars is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual base salary range is $195,000–$215,000+ , with actual compensation determined by relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and other permissible job-related factors.
