This is a hands-on operational position for someone who is comfortable managing employee concerns, monitoring attendance and staffing needs, maintaining accurate documentation, following up on requirements, and holding employees accountable to agency standards.

CNA experience is strongly preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, computer, and communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

The Employee Supervisor will:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for caregivers and direct-care employees.
  • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, call-outs, and scheduling concerns.
  • Assist with caregiver scheduling, client coverage, and staffing gaps.
  • Follow up on missed shifts, late arrivals, missed clock-ins/clock-outs, and other employee concerns.
  • Monitor EVV compliance and assist employees with routine EVV issues.
  • Track employee credentials, training, documentation, and outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee spreadsheets, trackers, records, and reports.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and ongoing workforce support.
  • Document employee concerns, incidents, performance issues, and follow-up actions.
  • Communicate policies, expectations, schedule changes, and corrective instructions clearly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with management and other departments to resolve workforce concerns. Help maintain an organized, responsive, and accountable caregiver workforce.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Strong general computer and technology skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate professionally during difficult or sensitive employee situations.
  • Ability to work independently and follow issues through to resolution. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Previous home care, healthcare, or direct-care experience.
  • Previous supervisory, staffing, scheduling, or employee-management experience.
  • Experience with EVV systems, caregiver scheduling, Medicaid home care, or healthcare compliance.

Required Skills Assessment

All candidates selected to move forward for this position must successfully complete and pass a practical Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word assessment.

The assessment will evaluate the candidate's ability to perform tasks that are representative of the actual Employee Supervisor position, including:

  • Entering and organizing information in Excel.
  • Sorting and filtering spreadsheet data.
  • Using basic Excel formulas and calculations.
  • Identifying missing or incorrect information.
  • Updating a workforce/staffing tracker.
