EMS TRAINING OFFICER

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of concessions at Sholem Aquatic Center, Dodds 4-Plex, Dodds 3-Plex, Dodds Soccer, Zahnd Baseball, Leonhard Recreation Center, Douglass Gym, Barkstall Gym and Stratton Gym.

The Concession Supervisor is responsible directly to both the Sports Manager and the Aquatics/Tennis Manager.

The Concession Supervisor supervises the Assistant Concession Supervisors at Sholem Aquatic Center, Dodds 4-Plex, Dodds 3-Plex, Dodds Soccer, Zahnd Baseball, Leonhard Recreation Center, Douglass Gym, Barkstall Gym and Stratton Gym.

Examples of Duties

• Work with the Public Health Department to assure that concession stands comply with existing health standards on a daily basis.
• Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise staff, as well as, complete payroll requirements.
• Develop and administer all purchasing procedures to include: establishing vendors, ordering supplies, delivery arrangements and inventory control
• Keep accurate records of food sales, pool revenue, and daily deposits.
• General supervision of concession activities ensuring daily facility cleanliness, equipment cleanliness, properly stored and correctly prepared food items.
• Generate regular sales/revenue reports
• Conduct regular in-season staff meetings & training
• Attend regular staff meetings with supervising Managers
• Research, develop and improve concessions menus, functionality, efficiency, creativity, etc.
• Work with District Human Resources to understand and adhere to labor laws
• Maintain good public relations with other agencies, Park District personnel, and the general public.
• Enforce and adhere to District policies and procedures.
• Report any problem/concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Complete all work as scheduled within the hours scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage concession operations or experience in food sales or restaurant management
• CPR (infant, child, and adult) and First Aid Certification is a requirement of the job and a condition of employment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the public and staff and work harmoniously with the public and fellow employees in an enthusiastic and cooperative manner.
• Current Food Service Sanitation license with the Department of Public Health or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Understanding of accounting for daily receipt and cash control policies.
• Proven success with organizational abilities
• Attend the Champaign Park District Blood borne Pathogen Training Course within two weeks of employment.
• Previous food service experience.
