Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EMT-Basic to join our emergency medical services team. The EMT-Basic will be responsible for providing essential pre-hospital care to patients in emergency situations. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate proficiency in basic life support techniques.

Duties

• Provide immediate medical care to patients at the scene of emergencies.
• Perform patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
• Administer basic life support, including CPR and airway management.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of patient conditions.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and emergency personnel.
• Transport patients safely to medical facilities, ensuring continuous monitoring during transit.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
• Stay informed about protocols related to Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.

Requirements

• Certification as an EMT-Basic from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques and patient care practices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to emergency medicine.
• Experience with patient assessment skills and vital sign monitoring.
• Familiarity with airway management procedures.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in emergency medical services.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
