EMT-Basic/Firefighter

Job Summary
The EMT-Basic plays a crucial role in providing emergency medical services to patients in need. This position involves responding to emergency calls, assessing patient conditions, and delivering basic life support as required. EMT-Basics work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to perform under pressure while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide high-quality pre-hospital care.
• Assess patients' conditions and administer basic life support, including CPR and first aid.
• Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately.
• Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are operational and ready for use.
• Collaborate with other emergency personnel to provide comprehensive care during emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding treatment plans.

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Proficiency in CPR techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during patient transport.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and protocols.
• Skill in measuring and interpreting vital signs accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge for operating emergency equipment effectively.
