Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-Hour Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, patient-focused Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our BLS ambulance team. This position focuses primarily on non-emergency, medically necessary ambulance transportation for patients traveling between hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, medical appointments, and other healthcare facilities.

Unlike traditional 911 ambulance services, our focus is on providing safe, comfortable, and professional transportation while delivering appropriate BLS care throughout each trip.

This is a full-time position working three 12-hour shifts per week, offering a consistent schedule with four days off each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care within the EMT scope of practice and established medical protocols.
• Safely transport patients between healthcare facilities, residences, and medical appointments.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and overall well-being throughout transport.
• Assist patients with transfers, lifting, positioning, and mobility while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Operate ambulances safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Complete accurate patient care reports and required transportation documentation.
• Maintain ambulance cleanliness, equipment readiness, and medical supply inventory.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare providers, and fellow team members.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and patient care procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana EMT certification in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and assist patients using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an ambulance crew.
• Previous EMS or medical transportation experience preferred but not required.
