About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Encoder/Bookkeeping Assistant to manage the daily encoding of sales and financial transaction data into QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will not just input data but also review entries for accuracy, flag discrepancies, and help maintain clean, audit-ready records for our bus transport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Encode daily sales, ticketing, and revenue data into QuickBooks
• Review and reconcile entries against source documents (trip manifests, remittance reports, receipts)
• Flag and correct discrepancies or unusual patterns in the data
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing of financial documents
• Generate basic sales/revenue summary reports as needed
• Coordinate with terminal staff, conductors, or accounting for missing/unclear data
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end encoding for closing

About you

• At least 1–2 years experience in bookkeeping, encoding, or admin/finance support (transport or retail industry a plus)
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
• Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets
• High attention to detail and comfortable reviewing/cross-checking numbers, not just typing them in
• Trustworthy and able to handle confidential financial data
• Accountancy, Business, or related background preferred but not required
