Encoder

About the role

The Encoder enters, updates, and manages patient medical records, laboratory results, and administrative data in electronic health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Encode medical results (such as laboratory tests, X-rays, physical exams, and prescriptions) from patient worksheets into the Clinic Management Information System (CMIS) or Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Print official medical results, certificates, and summaries after evaluation by doctors or medical collators
• Update patient files, correct errors promptly, and maintain organized digital or physical archives
• Cross-check input data with source documents to ensure high accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with nurses, medical technologists, and doctors to clarify missing, unclear, or incomplete test results
• Protect patient privacy and adhere strictly to data protection laws (such as the Data Privacy Act)

About you

• College level or a graduate of a Computer-related or Medical-allied course (e.g., Nursing, Midwifery, Radiologic Technology)
• Proficient in basic computer software (MS Word, Excel), data entry platforms, and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software
• Fast and accurate typing speed
• Familiarity with medical terminology, common abbreviations, anatomy, and diagnostic procedures
• High attention to detail, strong organization skills, integrity in handling confidential data, and basic customer service skills
• Available to work on-site from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Willing to be assigned to Global Plaza – San Simon, Pampanga
