Position is at the Pentagon working for the Joint Staff. Leads IPT team on Small/large projects or significant segment of large complex projects. Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, stakeholders and project sponsor. Generates all acquisition documentation required for submittal to government contracting office. Reviews requirements to define project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to:

Position is at the Pentagon working for the Joint Staff.

This position works directly with the JWICS, NIPR/SIPR, VTC Project Managers and support staff.

• Support inventory management activities (Receiving inventory, tagging of assets, tracking spares (crash kits), ordering inventory, updating inventory records, prepare and return damaged equipment)
• Perform power cycles, physical equipment, and cabling inspections
• Receive, review, and install IT hardware components as directed
• Test and troubleshoot cabling utilizing a fluke
• Good understanding of the installation practices for rack mountable IT equipment within a data center environment (i.e., Cisco, HP, and Dell)
• Remove and de-commission hardware as directed
• Handle storage media
• Troubleshoot issues by providing first-hand observation of IT hardware components to customer IT team
• Receive, respond, and resolve Break / Fix (incident) engagements within established timeframes or escalate promptly if they cannot be resolved within that period

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience with JWICS, NIPR/SIPR, VTC

• Current TS clearance required for this position

• Experience with Microsoft suite
