Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a part-time role in Endoscopy, working with a great team in a modern private healthcare environment?

We’re looking for a part-time Endoscopy Nurse to join our Dunedin team.

This role would suit an RN with previous endoscopy experience who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, is confident in a busy procedural environment, and understands that in healthcare, even the best-laid plans sometimes need a little flexibility!

About the role

You’ll be working within our Endoscopy service, supporting patients throughout their procedure journey – from admission and preparation through to assisting with procedures and recovery.

Your day may include:

• Assisting with gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures
• Patient admission, assessment and preparation
• Monitoring and supporting patients during procedures
• Recovery and discharge
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety
• Working alongside our specialists, nursing team and wider Intus team
• Pitching in where needed to keep the day running smoothly

This is a part-time position, and we’re happy to have a conversation about hours and days with the right person.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC
• Has previous Endoscopy experience
• Is confident, organised and comfortable working in a procedural environment
• Provides genuinely great patient care
• Communicates well with patients, clinicians and colleagues
• Is a team player who is happy to help out when things get busy
• Can adapt when the list, the patients – or occasionally the entire day – doesn't quite go according to plan

Experience in recovery, theatre or anaesthetics would be an added bonus, but Endoscopy experience is the key thing we’re looking for.
