Endoscopy Reading Specialist

About the role

The Remote Endoscopy Reading Specialist reviews endoscopy video and images captured during an allergist office visit using deployed exam hardware/software, and provides a clinical read — an interpretation of what the images show — back to the referring office. Every read operates under the oversight of a supervising ENT, who holds ultimate responsibility for interpretation and sign-off.

Key responsibilities

• Review endoscopy video/image captures transmitted from allergist office exam systems.
• Observe and interpret findings — not simply relay footage, but actively assess what the exam shows.
• Deliver a clinical read/interpretation for each case, at an appropriate service level for the case complexity.
• Operate within a supervising ENT's oversight; escalate or route complex findings to the ENT as needed.
• Access patient exam data only through the secure, HIPAA-compliant web and user portal, via VPN login.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all handling, storage, and discussion of patient exam data.
• Support consistent turnaround across current volume (~60 reads/month across 5–6 deployed systems), scaling as more systems come online.

About you

• Licensed medical professional with training relevant to ENT/otolaryngology exam interpretation (e.g., Nurse Practitioner).
• Comfortable working with remote exam hardware/software systems and a secure telemedicine portal.
• Able to work under the remote supervision of a U.S.-licensed ENT and follow that physician's protocols.
• Understanding of, and ability to maintain, HIPAA compliance standards.
• Strong written communication for delivering clear, actionable reads to referring offices.
