Energy & Infrastructure Senior Associate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join a leading international law firm's Energy & Infrastructure practice. Working on some of the most significant projects in the UK and internationally, you will advise a broad range of clients on complex commercial, regulatory and project development matters across the energy sector.

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects at the forefront of the energy transition, supporting developers, investors, utilities, public sector bodies and financial institutions on high-value, strategically important mandates.

Role

• Advise clients on the development and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements and project documentation
• Advise on project development, procurement, regulatory and transactional matters
• Support renewable energy and low-carbon projects across a range of technologies
• Manage complex matters and transaction workstreams with increasing autonomy
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across both the public and private sectors
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
• Contribute to business development, client initiatives and thought leadership
• Collaborate with colleagues across international offices on cross-border matters

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with significant experience in energy, infrastructure or projects
• Strong experience advising on commercial contracts and project-related matters within the energy sector
• Experience supporting renewable energy, infrastructure or wider energy transition projects
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills
• Commercially minded with strong legal judgement and problem-solving ability
• Proven client relationship management and business development skills
• Experience supervising junior lawyers and managing complex matters
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
