Responsibilities:

• Designs, studies and oversees the construction of Photovoltaic Systems and Energy Storage Systems, as well as other Renewable Energy Systems, with emphasis on efficiency, safety and compliance with technical standards
• Conducts Energy Audits in building facilities and designs, studies and oversees energy upgrade projects in buildings and installations through the upgrading of electrical/mechanical equipment and energy management systems, as well as cooling-heating and lighting systems
• Performs technical simulations using design software for potential installations of hybrid power supply and heating systems in new and existing structures
• Designs, studies and oversees the construction of Smart City systems and street lighting projects, integrating modern technologies
• Promotes the Department’s energy products and services and develops tailored proposals for new and existing clients
• Studies, develops and implements tools, infrastructures and customer management systems for the Department and prepares internal reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or College or Technological Educational Institute in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Energy systems analysis, Energy modelling, Sustainability, Renewable Energy) will be considered an additional qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in roles such as Electrical Engineer, Energy Engineer, Project Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer and/or in commercial roles
• Experience in the design of electrical installations and energy systems will be considered an additional qualification
• Experience in Technical, Energy, Engineering Consultancy firms or engineering design companies or in Research Programs, will be considered an additional qualification
• Registered member of the Technical Chamber of Greece with signing authority
• Registered in the Energy Auditors Registry
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or PV Sol and/or energyPRO and/or 4M and/or GAMS and/or HOMER and/or Python and/or Power Design and/or DIALux programs will be considered an additional qualification
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability for urgent geographical relocations
