Energy Technician- Journeyman/Tier 2 Tech

• Energy Technician (Journeyman / Lead Tech)

• Independently perform full weatherization installations with Crew Lead supervision.

• Assist in conducting basic diagnostic testing (blower door, combustion safety) and complete quality checks. Join our team and install energy-saving measures in residential homes: attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lighting, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats, and electric water heaters.

• Conduct water heater repairs and replacement service calls

• Help with repairs, load and unload work trucks, keep job sites clean and safe, and assist with setup and teardown.

• Train and mentor Tier 1 techs on the job.

• Qualifications: 2+ years in weatherization or related trade; such as electrical training, plumbing or HVAC background. BPI certification or ability to obtain; valid driver's license; Clean background checks.

Physical requirements:

Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather

Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday

Use repetitive hand motions & use of basic hand and power tools

Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)

Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds as needed

Every applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, driving record check, and state and federal background checks. Spanish Speaking is a plus.
