Job Summary

The Energy Technology Engineer is responsible for monitoring energy availability across small-cell sites, managing the commissioning and troubleshooting of energy systems for new sites, and maintaining energy network management systems to ensure efficient operations. The role also involves tracking and addressing internal and external energy requirements to support reliable power supply and uninterrupted site operations.

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract; Initially 6 months, with the possibility of contract extension.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor energy availability for small-cell sites.
• Manage the commissioning of energy systems for new small-cell sites and handle related troubleshooting.
• Maintain energy network management systems and resolve associated issues.
• Track and address internal and external energy requirements for small-cell sites.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in telecom energy/power systems.
• Practical experience with telecom power systems, rectifiers, batteries, DC power systems, solar systems, and related equipment.
• Experience with energy monitoring/network management systems and alarm troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of telecom site power and energy availability monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve site energy faults independently.
• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites when required.
• Candidates with experience supporting telecom operators or tower companies will be an advantage.
