We are dedicated to excellence in dance education across multiple platforms, including systems of training, syllabi, and Nationally Recognised Training. With a strong national and international presence, ATOD is highly regarded for supporting dancers, dance teachers, and performers in achieving their aspirations.

As a leading organisation in dance education, we are committed to delivering outstanding experiences for our examiners, studios, and members. We champion innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to ensure our community flourishes in a professional and supportive environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Business Services, the Engagement Officer will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing relationships, supporting marketing initiatives and activities, and guiding prospective students and members through their journey with our organisation.

Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will contribute to enrolment and membership growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will also support and attend company events, industry activities, workshops, and promotional opportunities to strengthen relationships and represent the organisation within the dance community.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective students, dance studios, educators, and industry professionals to promote training programs and membership benefits.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities including calls, emails, and follow-ups to nurture leads and convert enquiries into enrolments and memberships.
  • Implement day-to-day sales and marketing activities to support lead generation and conversion.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing materials including flyers, graphics, presentations, and social media content.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, workshops, networking functions, and company events to promote programs, generate leads, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of EDM campaigns and promotional communications.
  • Provide responsive after-sales support to promote customer satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth course enrolments, membership sign-ups, and customer experiences.
  • Guide prospective students and members through the enquiry, application, onboarding, and enrolment process.

About You

You are a motivated and relationship-focused professional who enjoys sales, communication, and working within a creative environment. You will bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
  • Experience supporting marketing activities, including social media content creation, campaign coordination, email marketing, and developing promotional materials.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas for marketing campaigns, audience engagement, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence representing an organisation at events, workshops, networking opportunities, and industry activities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Availability to travel for industry events and meetings as required.

Why Join ATOD?

Be part of a passionate team shaping the future of dance education. Join ATOD for a supportive, inspiring environment where your ideas, skills and passion can make a real difference.
