Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

Develop, integrate and validate Battery Management System application software functions for lithium-ion battery packs, using model-based development and automotive software processes. The role reports to the Lead Application Software (BMS).

Total experience framing: embedded software development, with a portion in BMS, VCU, EV powertrain or automotive application software.

5. Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop BMS application software features using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
• Implement and maintain software components as per system requirements; support software integration and testing.
• Develop and maintain SOX estimation, cell balancing, thermal monitoring, voltage/current/temperature monitoring, charge and discharge control, and fault detection and diagnostics.
• Analyze system and software requirements; create software design documentation.
• Ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements, design and testing.
• Perform MIL, SIL and HIL testing; conduct debugging and root-cause analysis; support vehicle-level validation.
• Follow automotive software development processes, coding standards and quality guidelines; use Polyspace.
• Participate in design reviews and software audits.
