Responsiblefor Architectural and Overall Building Engineering Management related works ofSub Station, Control room, Administration Building, Warehouses, PEB Buildingsand Shelters for international projects as described below:

• Planning of the overall Building EPC execution strategy and its implementation as a leader of the building engineering team, in consultation with JGC HQ (Yokohama) Lead Engineer.

• Preparation of basic architectural planning and design specifications, including presentation to Client.

• Supervision of detailed engineering and BIM works executed by 3rd party engineering / BIM modelling consultants including engineering quality and schedule control. This may include visits to BIM consultantoffice, likely in an Indian city.

• Review and approval of Architectural drawings issued by 3 rd party engineering sub-contractor.

• Client coordination and Client comment resolution.

• Engineering management work to lead integrate the overall building engineering among each building discipline (Structural and MEP) engineers.

• Engineering coordination work among other plant discipline engineers (e.g Civil, Piping, Mechanical, E&I).

• Procurement support work related to vendor selection, purchasing, and technical advising for building procurement items such as structural steel, HVAC equipment/panels, Power panels and Fire alarm panels in consultation with respective discipline engineers & JGC HQ (Yokohama) Building Engineer

• Construction support work related to subcontractor selection, contracting, field engineering and trouble shooting. This may include visits to site.

  Requirements

  5+ years experience in Building Architectural design work of Plant / Non-Plant Buildingsincluding some experience in Overall Building Engineering management(Experienced in design or/and field supervision/engineering in internationalprojects is an advantage)

  Businesslevel communication skills of oral and written English.

  • A high standard of English language ability both written and spoken.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office environment in all aspects of daily work.

  • Highly ethical - accountable for actions and statements.

  • Experienced in design or/and field supervision/engineering in international projects are an advantage.

  • The leadership qualities to lead, delegate tasks and organize the team.

  • Ability to understand and interpret complex problems and explain them to others.

  • High attention to detail and proactive follow up.

  • The willingness to take responsibility as delegated and make decisions at appropriate times within the authority level.

  • Understanding of Plant engineering for Oil & Gas, Plant drainage systems & underground structures, concrete foundation design etc.

  • Knowledge of the following design software packages.

  • Mentoring and training of junior engineers / GETs within the department.
