Engineer / Assistant Engineer – IoT & Smart Site Safety System (SSSS)

About the Role

Auto-ID Solution Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end Smart Site Safety System (SSSS) solutions in Hong Kong. Backed by our robust in-house IT development, hardware installation, and engineering teams, we have successfully gained over 50 SSSS Labels under the local scheme.

We are seeking an Engineer or Assistant Engineer to join our growing Engineering Team in Kwun Tong. In this role, you will play a key part in setting up, connecting, and integrating IoT hardware with our proprietary software platforms and systems. You will also work closely with clients to fine-tune and customize technical setups to match specific project requirements.

Candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience will be considered as Engineer. Fresh graduates and candidates with less experience are warmly welcomed to apply as Assistant Engineer with tailored training provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

• IoT & System Integration: Set up, configure, and integrate IoT hardware devices/sensors with our in-house software platforms and Smart Site Safety Systems.
• On-Site Deployment & Tuning: Conduct site visits to active construction projects to refine system configurations, sensors, and hardware/software connections based on client feedback and real site conditions.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with internal IT developers and hardware installation teams to ensure end-to-end connectivity and robust system stability.
• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee hardware-to-platform communication testing, troubleshoot connection issues, and carry out site commissioning checks.
• Technical Support: Address technical inquiries from site managers and contractors, gather user feedback, and help optimize system usability.
• Documentation: Maintain clear records of technical setups, integration guides, and site visit logs.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Experience:

  • Engineer: 3+ years of experience in IoT setup, ELV systems, sensors, or system integration.
  • Assistant Engineer / Fresh Graduate: Passionate about IoT and smart construction technology; eager to learn with hands-on training provided.

• Working Environment: Comfortable working outdoors and visiting active construction site environments when required for deployment and testing.

• Requirements & Certifications:

  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Green Card (Safety Training Certificate) and Worker ID prior to commencement.
  • (Note: Application/course fees for safety certification can be fully claimed back from the company upon successful onboarding).

• Technical & Soft Skills: Basic understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, Modbus, TCP/IP, LoRa) is a plus; strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic site environments.

• Language: Good command of Cantonese and basic English.
