About the role:

This is a core Engineering position responsible for driving process design, production efficiency, quality control, continuous improvement, and machinery optimization within a manufacturing environment

Key responsibilities

• Design process parameters, prepare engineering specification documents, and provide training to relevant personnel involved in the process.
• Monitor, analyze, and evaluate process performance in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Monitor and control processes to ensure compliance with specifications; troubleshoot, improve, and evaluate quality aspects within the production process.
• Analyze and evaluate new raw materials to reduce costs or enhance quality levels.
• Install new machinery, troubleshoot, and improve machine efficiency (in collaboration with the Machine Engineer).
• Analyze and evaluate quality issue investigations, customer complaints, Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and defect simulation scenarios.
• Analyze and make decisions regarding the disposition and management of non-conforming products.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a field related to automation systems.
• At least 1–2 years of experience with Machine Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence, or Vision systems on Cohu will be a distinct advantage).
• Understanding of Image Processing and Defect Detection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven support.
• Experience with Cohu NY-20 machines or Handler/Inspection equipment in the semiconductor industry will be a distinct advantage.
• Understanding of BIS Process Flow and integration with IT/Database systems.
• Proficiency in using Minitab or statistical analysis software.
• Good command of the English language (reading, writing, listening, speaking) (TOEIC score of 600+ will be a distinct advantage).
• Ability to communicate in Korean will be a distinct advantage.
