Engineer

Responsibilities:

·         Plan and manage routine inspections and daily/monthly maintenance work plans for vessels and piers

·         Oversee annual overhaul and other regular maintenance; negotiate and coordinate on-site with contractors

·         Liaise and coordinate with other stakeholders to plan and monitor surveys; collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues and enforce maintenance standards

·         Liaise and coordinate with other internal departments to meet operation requirements

·          Ensure effective vessel and pier maintenance meets operation requirements

·        Handle procurement issues; ensure timely delivery and maintain Pier/Vessel Stores inventory

·         Provide on-site emergency technical support for machine-related incidents; lead troubleshooting and immediate remedial actions

·         Ensure compliance with Maritime Department requirements

·         Provide training to Engine Department staff

·         Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

·         Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or a related discipline

·         Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the maritime industry, with experience in ferry/ship maintenance company being an advantage

·         Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 3 or above being an advantage

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office, familiar with engineering software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks being an advantage

·         Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

·         Well organised, mature, responsible, independent and able to work under pressure

·         Proficiency in English and Chinese, including Mandarin

·         Position may require to work in the dockyard during docking if necessary

·         Training will be conducted at the shipyard and pier
