Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable systems using modern software engineering principles, including microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to enable efficient communication between distributed components.
• Develop front-end interfaces utilizing JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, ensuring responsive and user-friendly web applications.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software through iterative development cycles, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD).
• Optimize system performance by leveraging cloud infrastructure services and implementing best practices in scalability and security.
• Write clean, efficient code in programming languages including Java, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript.
• Manage version control using tools like GitHub, SVN, or similar platforms while maintaining comprehensive documentation for all development activities.

Skills

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails for web application development.
• Expertise in system design for system development with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, Web development frameworks, and JavaScript frameworks such as React Express.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, design patterns, and API management.
• Proficiency in SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL; experience with database design and optimization.
• Knowledge of version control systems including Git and SVN; experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Programming skills across multiple languages such as Java, Python, C++, VBA, C#, and JavaScript for diverse application development needs.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation standards.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies to promote collaboration and rapid delivery of features.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
