Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Participate in vision & guidance for FABCO's Engineering Department
• Weigh risks and make financial & strategic decisions for FABCO
• Ensure design intent & parameters are maintained.
• Oversee and develop design strategies, including SOP's for machines & products
• Manage projects from engineering to delivery.
• Process engineering of new products, product changes, & documentation
• Create proposals targeting new business & Cap Ex Projects
• Become proficient with Solid Works and other software as needed
• Continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency
• Perform all job functions safely

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Previous Experience Preferred:

• Experience in machining, fabrication, or steelmaking
• Leadership and team development
• Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel) fluency
• Experience with precision measuring tools

Other Skills Needed:

• Communicate ideas effectively and impartially evaluate ideas of others.
• Document management and organization
• Fulfill customer quote requests
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings.
• Effectively read and communicate job instructions verbally in English.
