Engineer - Electrical

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborate with Maintenance and Production Department to identify root causes and ensure effective implementation of solutions to achieve desired outcomes.

2. Strive for set-KPI (<1%) unscheduled downtime by analysing unexpected breakdowns and assessing the effectiveness of preventive maintenance practices.

3. Maintain and improve low-voltage electrical distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), control panels, and power supplies.

4. Configure and maintain transmitters, sensors, controllers, PLC interfaces, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

5. Optimize equipment operating parameters to improve process stability, energy efficiency, and equipment performance.

6. Perform electrical testing, commissioning, modifications, troubleshooting, and system upgrades for electrical and instrumentation systems.

7. Provide technical support for electrical and instrumentation systems associated with utility operations, including natural gas distribution, compressed air, water treatment, chemical dosing, and other process utility systems.

8. Monitor electrical and instrumentation system performance, identify reliability issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment availability.

9. Monitor and analyse utility consumption, including electricity, water, and natural gas, to identify and implement energy-saving opportunities.

10. Reduce maintenance and repair costs by leading root cause investigations, optimizing maintenance strategies, and implementing cost-effective engineering solutions. Continuously identify and eliminate safety hazards together with safety Health and Environment (SHE) team with safety risk mitigations actions and engineering controls.

11. Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness. Collaborate with engineering project teams and vendors to address complex issues and rectify.

12. Maintain accurate maintenance records, engineering documentation, calibration records, and service reports to support performance analysis, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
