Engineer - Functional Safety

Job Summary

Eaton India Innovation Center located in Pune, India has an opening for a Engineer-Functional Safety in Reliability Safety Center of Excellence. This role is established for Mobility business of Eaton in Reliability Safety CoE team.

Job Responsibilities

• Delivering safety work package(Design for Safety) for Automotive system solution (e.g. Electronic Transmission/Power system,inverters,power distribution unit) for electrical /Electronics and hybrid solutions for on- and off-road vehicles related new products introduction (NPI) programs without impacting project schedules. Typical deliverables are: program safety plan, hazard assessment(HARA), safety requirements, technical safety concept and implementation of requirements, verification validation.
• Deploy safety assessment framework with the help of senior safety professional.
• Responsible to identify and mitigate safety risks under guidance follow safety sign-off process for NPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s / Masters Degree in Electrical/ Electronics /Power Electronics engineering/safety/ reliability engineering
• Bachelor s with 3-5 years of relevant experience or Masters with 0-1 year working in functional safety.

Skills

• Understanding of safety standards like ISO 26262
• Vehicle domain knowledge, work experience in the area of eMobility / vehicle electrification.
• Awareness of DFSS etc.
• Experience with any industry proven safety analysis suite of tools
