Engineer (Geotechnical)

About the Role

Join the team at Ryobi Geotechnique International Pte Ltd as a full-time Engineer (Geotechnical). In this role, you will provide geotechnical engineering expertise and support across a range of site investigation, ground improvement, and foundation engineering projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Plan and conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, in-situ testing, and groundwater monitoring

• Perform geotechnical analyses and calculations for foundation design, slope stability, earth retaining structures, and ground improvement works

• Prepare borehole logs, factual and interpretive geotechnical reports, and project documentation for submission

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports to document project deliverables

• Collaborate with project teams, site supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements and timelines are met

• Monitor project progress on site and identify opportunities for design optimisation and improvement

• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant codes of practice, standards, and regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant experience in the geotechnical or civil engineering industry will have an added advantage.

• Strong technical skills in geotechnical analysis, design, and project delivery

• Proficient in the use of geotechnical engineering software and modelling tools (e.g. Plaxis, GeoStudio, or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical investigation methods

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Commitment to adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards
