Engineer, Geotechnical Instrumentation

 This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore.

• Planning and designing instrumentation and monitoring systems for construction sites
• Supervising the installation of monitoring instruments such as settlement markers, inclinometers, piezometers, and vibration sensors
• Coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure correct installation and positioning of instruments
• Collecting, reviewing, and analysing monitoring data from site instruments
• Preparing reports and alerts when readings exceed allowable safety limits
• Ensuring all instrumentation works are carried out according to project specifications and safety requirements
• Troubleshooting faulty instruments and ensuring continuous data monitoring throughout the project duration
• Interact with customers on technical issues related to ground settlement (sinking or movement of soil), movement of buildings or structures, underground water pressure (pore water pressure), vibration from construction activities, tilt or displacement of structures, load and stress on retaining walls or supports testing.

Requirement:

• Possess a Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Geotechnical Engineering with at least 3 years of working experience
• Working knowledge of site safety
• Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline - Water, ground and environment
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
• Possess strong computer skills
