Latera Engineering Inc. began twelve years ago, with one goal – to provide elegant solutions to meet our clients needs with accuracy, integrity and efficiency. Our structural engineering solutions and R&D consulting services include structural design, building remediation, data acquisition and analysis, building product testing and forensic structural evaluation.

We are currently looking for an EIT who thrives in an environment that inspires challenge and growth.

At Latera Engineering, you can expect to:

· Learn how to design with a wide variety of materials (wood, concrete, steel)

· Develop relationships with Clients

· Manage projects (scheduling, financing, invoicing)

· Receive support with further education and training

· Work on diverse projects (schools, warehouses, high rises)

· Be on site and gain hands on experience

· Be challenged to learn and grow as an engineer

Qualifications:

· Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a Canadian university or, if International, equivalency exams already completed

· Registered or eligible to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in BC

· Proficiency with AutoCAD and MathCAD

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to liaise with clients and work collaboratively with other EITs

· Growth mindset and ability to think outside the box

· Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Assets:

· Structural Engineering work experience

· Proficiency with RISA design software and Revit

· Familiarity with design of timber, steel, and concrete structures

· Intent to pursue Professional Engineering status

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
