Engineering Summer Internship – 12 Weeks

An international engineering organisation is seeking an enthusiastic STEM student for a 12-week summer placement within its turbocharger engineering team.

You will gain practical experience in component design, testing and analysis, supporting the development of new and existing products. Responsibilities include presenting technical findings, investigating component failures and contributing to research into new materials and testing techniques.

You must meet ALL the criteria below to be considered. If you do not meet every requirement, you will not be invited to interview.

1. STEM degree: Are you currently studying towards a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics?
2. Placement eligibility: Are you eligible to undertake a placement year as part of your degree?
3. Availability: Can you commit to a full-time, 12-week placement starting in summer 2027?
4. Location and attendance: Can you work on-site in Huddersfield three days per week, arranging your own travel or relocation? Relocation support is not provided.
5. Teamwork and project experience: Can you work effectively as part of a team, with experience contributing to or leading a group project?
6. Practical technical knowledge: Do you understand how scientific or engineering concepts are applied in practice?
7. Motivation to learn: Do you have a strong desire to learn and develop your engineering knowledge and practical skills?
8. Microsoft Office: Do you have a good level of proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint ?
