Engineer - IT (Client & Software Distribution)

Creating passion: your responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities:

• Package and distribute software to client systems, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards and as per approved software list.
• Coordinate the deployment of patches and updates, monitor system performance post-deployment, and troubleshoot any issues.
• Enforce threat and vulnerability management policies to safeguard IT network.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments & implement mitigation strategies in IT infrastructure as well as OT devices.
• Design & manage patch-management to ensure client systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Create and maintain software packages, test deployments, and manage version control for client systems, servers and mobile devices.
• Implement and manage account policies, ensuring proper user authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Conduct regular audits of user accounts and permissions to maintain security.
• Provide support to end-users for software distribution issues and related queries.
• Assist users with troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of software packages.
• Coordination with global IT and local cyber security team for implementation of upcoming tools & technologies.

Contributing your strengths: your qualifications Qualification and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, particularly in client and software distribution.

Preferred Skills / Special Skills

• Strong knowledge & hands-on experience in threat and vulnerability management, patch management, software packaging, and account policies.
• Proficiency in tools like Tanium, SCCM, WSUS, NESSUS, MS Defender, Vulcan etc. with best practices for software distribution and version control.
• Strong knowledge of automation & scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
