Engineer Manager

About the role

Engineer Manager responsible for overseeing the engineering department, managing team performance, and supporting project delivery across presale, installation, and post-sale service phases.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage team members to ensure efficient work performance according to schedule
• Promote teamwork and mutual support among team members
• Support continuous learning and skill development for team members in both hard and soft skills
• Plan and develop knowledge and skills of team members
• Support provision of necessary tools and equipment for efficient work
• Monitor and track work results across different team sections
• Provide guidance and advice to subordinates on work approaches
• Plan and set annual work goals and targets for subordinates
• Establish standardized work processes, procedures, and related documentation aligned with company policy
• Provide data analysis through systems such as Database and Online systems
• Collaborate with Engineer team on design, solution sourcing, and equipment provision for presale activities to meet customer requirements
• Participate in planning to define 3-5 year company policy or technology and product direction
• Review annual policies and strategies for product presentation
• Coordinate with suppliers on solution design and product offerings for customers
• Support Engineer team in preparing equipment for demonstrations and proof of concept
• Oversee and control Engineer team in preparing presale project documentation
• Manage, oversee, and support equipment installation projects to ensure successful completion within schedule and budget
• Prepare and support equipment for delivery and customer acceptance
• Oversee and manage post-sale service work according to Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Prepare technical documentation and reports related to post-sale service and system performance
• Develop guidelines for preventing and resolving technical issues that may occur with systems
• Coordinate with partners or suppliers to source solutions for customer requirements
• Support demonstrations and proof of concept activities
• Coordinate equipment installation and inspection support
• Coordinate support for resolving equipment issues in projects
• Provide feedback and recommendations for product and service improvements
• Evaluate supplier quality and performance
• Monitor technology developments and trends for organizational application
• Participate in planning to define 3-5 year company policy on technology, product, or solution direction
• Review annual policies and strategies for company priority products
• Plan and prepare annual budget for engineering department expenses and equipment
• Support company IT operations for equipment under engineering department responsibility
• Perform other assigned duties

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunication or related field
• Minimum 10 years of work experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and/or coordination work
• Project work experience considered a plus
• Basic operational management skills
