Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers to join our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) team. The successful candidates will be involved in engineering design, technical documentation, construction support, testing and commissioning for water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key responsibilities

Mechanical Engineer

• Perform mechanical design and equipment selection for sewage and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, BOQ and tender documents.
• Review mechanical drawings, technical submissions and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors and other disciplines.
• Provide construction support and technical assistance during project implementation.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities.
• Work with mechanical systems including pumps, blowers, piping, valves, diffusers and other process equipment.

Electrical Engineer

• Perform electrical design for sewage and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Carry out electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection.
• Prepare electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQ and technical submissions.
• Work with electrical distribution, motor control and industrial electrical systems.
• Provide technical support for PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation and process automation systems.
• Support FAT, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors and other disciplines.

General Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
• Preferably 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or eligible for registration.
• Experience in sewage treatment plants, water/wastewater treatment, M&E infrastructure, industrial/process facilities or engineering consultancy.
• Experience in preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, BOQ and tender documents.
• Good AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication, coordination and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
