Require Mechanical Engineer – Dairy Plant

1. Job Objective

To support the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery in a dairy processing plant, ensuring smooth plant operations, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance of dairy plant machinery and equipment.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.
• Monitor the functioning of pumps, motors, compressors, chillers, boilers, and other mechanical equipment.
• Assist in maintaining dairy processing equipment such as milk chilling systems, pasteurisers, homogenisers, storage tanks, and pipelines.
• Identify basic mechanical faults and coordinate with senior engineers for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment checklists, and daily operational reports.
• Coordinate with production and utility teams to ensure smooth plant functioning.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, food hygiene requirements, and plant maintenance standards.
• Assist in spare-parts inventory management and maintenance planning.
• Participate in equipment inspections and support continuous improvement activities.

3. Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–1 year of experience; freshers may also apply.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment, pumps, motors, and industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to work at the dairy plant and learn plant operations.
